Outlook Express is one of  the most widely used email clients and is used for downloading emails from server to hard disk. You can compose emails offline and send them when you are connected to the internet.

You should try to fix your internet connection

While sending emails you may get the following error message:

To prevent spam most ISPs block error messages sent using email addresses from any other ISP address. Also some ISP do not provide an email with POP3/SMTP , you can only access your webmail.

Gmail can be used with most ISPs, but a secure connection is required for both incoming and outgoing email.  The server port numbers for outgoing email (SMTP) are 465 and incoming email (POP3) are 995.
